I once had an eye exam and asked to optometrist about eye exercises. He said that he graduated from Texas A&M and while he was there another student told him that he could improve his eyesight through exercises. He made a bet with the student that after some period of time that the student said would show the improvement they would examine each other's eyes. The OD began and did the exercises religiously. They had examined their eyes at the start and then at the end. There was no difference in the eyesight.
The OD wore glasses and said that if such a thing worked he would not wear glasses.
I had a close friend that was an OD and he also said it did not work.
This comes up from time to time, but so far there has not been a shred of evidence that it can improve eyesight. If there is a credible study that indicates it will successfully improve one's eyesight I would like to see it.
